Is being a personal trainer a good job?

A sensible question to ask before embarking on the journey of becoming a personal trainer: “Is being a personal trainer a good job?”

If you have a passion for health and fitness then what better way to spend your working hours than talking, listening, and reading about your favourite hobby.

Working in a role that enables you to share your passion with those around you is a privilege that I am very grateful to experience but I think the most enjoyable and rewarding part of the role is helping people.

When clients initially come to you they come to you with a problem. It does not matter how big or how small their problem is. It is still a problem. Think about it. They have decided to get some help in solving this problem and have identified that you have the credentials and experience to do that.

As personal trainers, we are in the problem-solving game really.

These problems come in all shapes and sizes.

  • The problem of low self-esteem
  • The problem of low energy levels
  • The problem of low mood
  • The problem of low libido
  • The problem of poor physical health
  • The problem of  poor mental health

The list is endless….

By helping our clients solve their problem we enrich their lives.

We help them become better versions of themselves, which improves the quality of their life and of those they come in to contact with.

So, is being a personal trainer a good job?

Yes, absolutely.
