In part one, we shared Ray Conway’s incredible comeback story—from life on the trading floor, through a devastating accident, to his rise as a respected personal trainer. But Ray’s journey didn’t stop with physical recovery.
Over the past decade, he’s turned his attention to something deeper, longevity: helping others live longer, live better, and defy the conventional ageing curve.
Ray recently became qualified in breath work and cold water therapy—despite initially being a sceptic. What he found shocked him.
Through guided breath sessions, trauma release work, and daily cold exposure, Ray discovered a new layer to recovery and performance.
“After a session, everything slowed down. The colours were brighter. It was like I was seeing the world in HD.”
He now uses breath work to help clients reduce stress, recover faster, and reconnect with their bodies and minds. For many, it’s the missing link.
Ray’s interest in metabolic health began after being diagnosed with Addison’s Disease in the 1990s. Ever since, he’s been laser-focused on keeping his body in balance—and teaching clients to do the same.
His longevity programme is refreshingly simple:
No fad diets. No endless calorie counting. Just five key health markers:
Waist size
Blood pressure
Triglycerides
Fasting glucose
Cholesterol
“I’ve never tracked macros. I just control blood sugar. My body fat hasn’t gone over 11% in 35 years.”
The results speak for themselves. His clients have come off medication, reversed type 2 diabetes, and shed fat sustainably—all by focusing on daily habits and blood sugar control.
Ray specialises in working with clients aged 45 and over, many of whom arrive believing their best years are behind them.
One 75-year-old woman now gets up from the floor with ease thanks to his training.
“Statistics show only 1 in 3 people over 40 can get up from a chair unaided. We’re changing that.”
His sessions aren’t about chasing PBs—they’re about moving well, feeling strong, and future-proofing the body.
With some clients staying for more than 20 years, what’s Ray’s secret?
It’s not flashy gimmicks or motivational speeches. It’s good old-fashioned professionalism.
“You’ve got to prep. Keep good records. Turn up positive every day.”
Ray still uses the meticulous habits he developed in the finance world: detailed notes, session plans, and constant progress tracking. But above all, he listens—and that builds trust.
“There’s no arguing with me. They see I’m 66 and in shape—job done.”
