The aim of Level 2 Award in Understanding Nutrition, Performance and Healthy Eating qualification is to give you a better understanding of the benefits of good nutrition for performance and health. With emphasis on the following areas: The function of food;The relationship between food and health; The importance of a balanced diet; The principles of weight control; and How to promote healthy eating.

How will the course be taught?
This course is delivered on a one to one basis with a tutor, which gives you the opportunity to begin studying immediately and the flexibility to study around your work and family commitments. Once you have registered, you are assigned your own personal tutor who guides you through your qualifications, assessing you throughout the courses whilst giving you support via email, telephone and face to face tutorials. All your tutorials and assessments can be booked in Monday to Saturday 8am to 4pm. The course takes approximately 6-8 weeks to complete but can be fast tracked if needed.
How will the course be assessed?
The course is assessed via the succesful completion of a course workbook which has a number of questions to test your underpinning knowledge of nutrition.
Communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) is involved, so the reasonable communication skills are needed.
There is also an element of learning online which involves the use of a PC and the Internet; you should, therefore, have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.
