Hi, I’m Mel Chacksfield and at the end of 2014 I decided I wanted to train as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. After having lost 3 stone myself & really enjoying fitness, running 10k races, I had found my passion in life and wanted to help others achieve their fitness goals.
After lots of phone calls to different training companies I was having difficulty finding one I could train with that would allow me to work around a busy family life with 3 children. A friend mentioned Jon & Storm Fitness Academy to me and I found that they were the only company that allowed me the flexibility to study and complete the training at my on pace, and local to Worthing too. I found Jon to be both relaxed and focussed in his approach and was great at being there whenever I needed him but without any time pressure to complete the course. He is also an expert in his subject & happy to share his knowledge, but in a really friendly and professional manner.
Since passing my level 3 exam in October 2015 I have set up my own business, Key To Fitness, which officially launched in January. I have a private studio at home in Worthing, where I am providing friendly, small group pay as you go sessions or personal training, for those who find the gym environment daunting or want small classes with friends. So far I am running 10 sessions a week and this is just through recommendations. I am really enjoying helping clients achieve their fitness goals & helping them on their fitness journey.
